Umaid Bhawan Palace

The Umaid Bhawan Palace used to be the private residence of the Jodhpur royal family.  This was the world’s largest private residence and it was constructed on twenty-six acres of land filled with fragrant gardens.  This luxurious hotel can be found on the highest point of Jodhpur and it overlooks the beautiful desert and city.  On the grounds, guests will see peacocks before wandering over to the Zodiac pool.  Everyone is welcome to explore the nearby family museum, which is on the same grounds as the hotel.

Guests will stay in one of the sixty-four spectacular rooms and suites and they will marvel at the architecture that surrounds them.  History is everywhere inside this palace and guests will want to linger in the halls for hours before venturing out to walk along the lawns and visit the marvelous monuments.  Guests can also take a tour of the palace, swim in the indoor or outdoor pool, and play marble squash, croquet, and polo.  Parents can send their children to the Kids@Taj programs, so they can enjoy some private time together as their kids have fun playing.

Rajasthani and Indian cuisine can be devoured at the Risala, while European and Mediterranean delights are available at Pillars.  The Trophy Bar is the perfect destination for an afternoon drink or a nightcap.  Jiva Grande Spa is an excellent option for those guests who need a little downtime filled with relaxation.  There are numerous treatments and therapies available at the spa, as well as yoga and meditation classes.
