Highlights & Reviews
- The best of any place to stay on the island. The estate's 100 plus acres run down to a beach of blinding white sand (imported from Guyana), and the near-sheer wall of the Petit Piton rises dramatically on one side of the property.
- The old Jalousie Plantation was crying out for some TLC, and it has got it in spades, with £65 million being spent on its conversion into an extremely sophisticated resort hotel. The hotel offers an extraordinary spa with tree house treatment rooms perched above the forest floor.
- Opt for one of the cheapest rooms - namely the 11 Luxury Sugar Mill Rooms - and you'll still end up in gorgeous accommodation, with an utterly elegant white-on-white interior, Victorian-style bath, plunge pool and, if you're on the ground floor, a lovely large garden. The Luxury Sugar Mill Rooms also have the advantage of being a short walk from public areas and the beach. Other much more expensive accommodation comes in the form of clusters of villas way up the hillside (expect amazing views and more stunning white interiors, but you'll be dependent on the shuttle buses) and new, Luxury Beachfront Bungalows.
