Hotel Ritz Madrid
Overview
The Hotel Ritz Madrid can be found amongst the hustle and bustle of the Retiro District of the city and it is centrally located to many of the area’s popular attractions. Guests can easily walk to the Prado, the Zarzuela Theatre, the Prado, Retiro Park, and the Thyssen-Bornemisza during their stay.
Each one of the 197 guest rooms and suites has been decorated individually using plush materials and antique furnishings. The marble bathrooms are filled with gold and they are one of the many perfect spots in the hotel for guests to relax. A few of the rooms even have balconies that guests can relax on as they look out towards the gardens or the nearby square.
Those who want to experience a little more tranquility with their relaxation will want to visit the Bodyna Wellness Center. This spa offers a large variety of exclusive treatments and everyone will love how they can all be customized to fit their needs.
Every guest will want to begin their morning with a continental breakfast, and afternoon tea can be sipped while listening to live music in the Lobby Bar later on in the day. While Restaurant Goya serves delectable cuisine all year long, most guests prefer when they can sit out on the terrace as they enjoy their meal.

Highlights & Reviews
- Rooms
- There are 167 rooms and suites, and no two are the same. Some have balconies overlooking the square or the hotel’s gardens, others have chandeliers and silk canopies over the bed, and most are furnished with antiques and decorated with original artworks. Free Wi-Fi.
- Location
- Next door to the Prado and a few minutes’ walk from the Thyssen-Bornemisza and Reina Sofia museums, this is a great choice for art lovers. The Retiro park and the tapas bars around Plaza Santa Ana are nearby too.
- Dining
- The Goya restaurant is one of the best in the city. For a decadent treat, book in for the legendary Sunday brunch. In summer it is served on the lovely terrace, which is open for drinks, lunch and dinner at other times. You can also get a decent cup of tea at the Ritz, which is certainly not the case everywhere in Madrid. The afternoon tea is rather special and a glass of Champagne at the Krug bar slips down very well after an afternoon in the Prado.
