The Four Seasons Punta Mita is a luxurious resort just a mere twenty-six miles from the Puerto Vallarta Airport, which ensures that every guest can get there and start their vacation shortly after they land. Each one of the exclusive and elegant Mexican casitas offer the ultimate in luxury and the comforts of home at the same time. Most of them have their own private plunge pools and they all offer breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and the coastline.
Those who want to live the life of luxury will want to begin their stay with a swim in the infinity pool. While taking a few laps, or simply hanging out enjoying the views, guests can enjoy drinks that are delivered by a waiter who will swim directly out to them to take their order and deliver their drink.
Golfers will want to play at least one round on the golf course designed by the renowned Jack Nicklaus, but they should be prepared to be distracted by the waves lapping onto the nearby shore.
Those who want something to do every day will marvel at all the available activities that include cooking classes, fitness classes, water sports, surfing lessons, and cultural lessons. Guests who need a little more rest and relaxation may want to head over to the spa instead, as there are plenty of treatments available.
No one will be able to resist dining at the on-site restaurant, as it offers beachfront dining complete with the amazing views.

Highlights & Reviews
- It is located within a highly private, 17 million sq-ft estate, with two big stretches of beach, in the self-contained resort of Punta Mita on Mexico’s Pacific Coast. Expeditions run from here to the Unesco-protected Marietas islands, which are about 15 minutes away by boat. It’s an hour’s drive from Puerto Vallarta airport.
- This was the first big international resort in Punta Mita, but it’s aged well owing to its traditional Mexican-style décor: the main lobby echoes the palapa architecture of the region, while canary yellow adorns walls, traditional prints are used on soft furnishings and sculptures by contemporary Mexican artists dot the lush green grounds. Down on the beach they’ve gone for the cabana-chic vibe: sip on tequila coolers from metal tankards while lounging on Dedon wicker day beds which hang from palm trees.
- Anything you want, you shall have, be it homemade coconut ice cream from the resident parlour, a yacht charter, or to simply fall asleep while floating around the resort’s lazy river. Golf buggies whizz guests from their rooms to the different facilities, which include a spa, gym, tennis courts and various swimming pools. It’s the attention to detail which make this resort a cut above: sun tan lotion is available at all pool stands, coolers of water will be delivered to your sunbed by friendly staff and a sunglasses ‘doctor’ will even polish and re-tighten your shades. Front-of-house and restaurant staff are all charming. All manner of activities are available, including cooking classes, cultural lessons, free fitness sessions (for example yoga on The Rock, a magnificent outcrop overlooking the ocean), surfing classes and watersports. The hotel is also home to one of two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses, and it boasts the notorious 3B, the world’s only hole on its own natural island.
