Hotel de Crillon Paris
Overview
The Hotel de Crillon Paris is a Rosewood Hotel that currently underwent four years of extensive renovations to turn it into the gorgeous place that it is today. Prior to that, it was the residence of the Count de Crillon for years before originally turning into a hotel in 1909. This luxurious hotel faces the iconic Place de la Concorde, offering spectacular views to everyone who stays there.
The 124 guest rooms and suites have detailed architectural elements and they have been decorated with vintage glamour furnishings that reflect the 18th century heritage of the hotel. The beds are covered in Italian linens and guests can sprawl themselves out in them as they enjoy a cup of coffee from their Nespresso machine. The gorgeous marble bathrooms have heated floors, soaking tubs, walk-in showers, and televisions in the mirrors.
There are three on-site restaurants that guests will enjoy dining at during their stay. Contemporary cuisine can be found at L’Ecrin, while French foods are all the rage at Brasserie D’Aumont.
Those who stay at this hotel will find that they are centrally located to many of the popular attractions of the city. In fact, most guests can easily walk to the Place de la Concorde, Élysées Palace, the Tuileries gardens, and the Champs Élysées.

- Style
- This historic building dates originally from the 18th century, but only some of the grandest rooms at the front of the hotel survive from this period. The renovation has transformed the rest of the hotel with extraordinary attention to detail. The old black and white marble of the entrance foyer has been replaced with polished stone, which has also been used to line the walls, carved into decorative pilasters and arches. A conservation architect and four different interior designers worked together, each overseeing a different part of the hotel. It sounds like a recipe for chaos, but a common palette of muted pastels, and the clean lines of the bespoke furniture disguise the transitions. The biggest successes are the two internal courtyards, which have been transformed from rather dingy spaces into leafy gardens with tables from the Winter Garden tearoom, with the brasserie and the spa spilling into them.
