Mandarin Oriental Macau
Overview
The elegant five-star Mandarin Oriental Macau can be found down near the peninsula and it is conveniently located near many popular attractions and landmarks. Guests can easily walk to many different high-end shopping areas and it is only a five-minute drive to A-Ma Temple, Senado Square, the Ruins of St. Paul’s, and Macau Fisherman’s Wharf. The best part is that the hotel offers free parking on-site, which means that everyone can easily rent a vehicle and make the thirty-minute drive from the Macau International Airport.
The 213 guest rooms are quite spacious, and they all offer views of either the Macau Tower, Nam Van Lake, or Taipa Island. The air-conditioned rooms all have flat screened televisions and an area to make coffee and tea. The walk-in shower in the bathrooms are always welcomed by those who are looking for a little extra luxury during their stay.
The spa offers a large variety of therapies and treatments, which can be done in either a private room or in one of the couple suites. Before or after a day at the spa, guests can utilize the fitness center, as well as the sauna.
Afternoons bring rest and relaxation in the Lobby Lounge, where afternoon tea and light refreshments are served. In the evening, guests can be seen inside the Vida Rica Restaurant and Bar, where they can dine on both Chinese and Western dishes.

Highlights & Reviews
- Fine Dining On Site
- Vida Rica Restaurant and Bar are spectacularly chic venues with panoramic views of the South China Sea and Nam Van lake.
- Spa Facility
- The Spa at Mandarin Oriental is a healing sanctuary with soothing views over the sea.
- Golf Facilities
- Macau is a highly popular golfing destination in the region and facilities are first class. Our Concierge has excellent Golf recommendations.
- Food & drink
- There’s a substantial case to be made for taking breakfast and lunch and dinner at Vida Rica, the hotel’s only restaurant. And afternoon tea too, just for good measure. Showcasing Asian and Western dishes with equal dexterity, it’s modern without being fussy, and you can taste the freshness. I nurture a special affection for the Szechuan-style poached turbot, and have to make a conscious effort not to lick my lips while perusing the wine list. The adjoining bar is a well-paced cavalcade of marble and chrome, with separate areas devoted to coffee, cocktails, and champagne and tapas. A glass of something imaginatively alcoholic tastes even better while appreciating the metropolitan and marine views through the 7.5-metre high windows. Finally, nobody has ever raised any objection to my bringing home a perishable souvenir from the hotel’s Cake Shop.
